What is a virtual event?

A virtual event is an online event that involves people interacting in a virtual environment rather than in a physical location. They are highly interactive and have a look and feel similar to a physical event.

What is CSS Summit and Virtual Career Fair?

The Collegiate Sales Society Summit is an annual event where CSS students from all chapters nationwide that are interested in pursuing a sales career have the opportunity to learn from and network with experienced sales professionals across the country. The key events of this summit include:

  • Speaking Panel
  • Career Fair (Internships and Full-time Positions)
  • Student Cold Calling Competition

When will CSS Summit take place?

CSS Summit will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, between 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM PDT.

How much do tickets cost to attend?

CSS Summit admission is free and open to CSS members.

Who is planning to attend?

Any and all CSS members from all chapters are welcome and highly encouraged to attend the event. 

Is there an age restriction for attendees/registrants?

No. CSS Summit is free and open to CSS members. All currently enrolled students are encouraged to become members.

How many schools are participating in the virtual career fair?

All of our CSS Chapters are welcome and encouraged to attend the career fair! A full list of our chapters and associate chapters can be found HERE.

I’d like to participate in the Cold Calling Competition. Where can I find information and/or details pertaining to this?

How many potential winners will there be for the Cold Calling Competition?

There will be first, second and third place winners. The first place winner’s video will be played during the awards ceremony at the CSS Annual Summit and Virtual Career Fair.

What do I need to do on the day of the virtual event?

To ensure that you are prepared for the CSS Summit, please be at your computer with a copy of your resume in front of you a few minutes early, to make sure that your internet connection is stable. We recommend attending the summit from a quiet area with good lighting and a neutral background. There will be portions of the event where you will be seen by other members, sales professionals, and company representatives, so make sure you are camera-ready.

Will CSS Summit be live or pre-recorded?

The CSS Summit will be live, but we will be recording the entire event. The cold calling competition will take place a week prior to the event, but the calls will be recorded. 

What technology do I need to attend this event?

For this event, you will need a working computer, tablet, or phone with a stable wi-fi connection. A webcam is strongly encouraged, but if you do not have access to a webcam, you are still encouraged to attend.

Do I need a webcam for this event?

You are strongly encouraged to have one, but if you cannot access a webcam, you are still welcome to attend. 

Will I be able to see the representatives at each virtual college fair booth?

Yes. We have allotted 3 hours for the virtual career fair to ensure that each member has ample opportunity to speak with any representatives they would like.

Can I access and view recordings of CSS Summit after the event?

Yes! Recordings of the sales panel will be distributed after the event.

Will there be a post-event survey?

Yes! The post-event survey will be distributed after the event. We would greatly appreciate your feedback.
